Hi friends,

On the 3rd of Sept (Tuesday) at 8pm.  We are going to start our Bachata dance lesson.  It is a simple dance , if you know the 'character' of the dance. 

1   It has 4 beats.
2.  You move your hip on the 4th beat.
3.   The next move, begins with the leg you use on the 4th beat. 

The music is so lively.  99% of the dancers love the music.

Dinner and Dance

Hi friends,

There will be a dinner & dance on the 7th Sept 2013 at 
SRJK(C) BACHANG'S HALL, Lorong Pandan, Melaka.  

It is organised by , Persatuan Peranakan Cina Malaysia.
The fee is Rm60 in aid of their new building at Tengkera.

There will be a live band performance. Those who are interested to get a ticket, please call Rocky at 016-2290390.

Those who have bought a ticket , will get 1 hour of FREE dance lesson AND  a 50% discount if you decide to join the class.   

Time is 7pm. 

What Dancers want.

What dancers expect when the go for dinner and DANCE. 

1.   They want to DANCE , therefore organizers MUST know which

       songs they should play.

2.   The sound system must be good. 

3.   The dancing space should be big enough

4.   They want a seat nearest to the dance space. 

5.   Drinks. They are not particular about food. 

Lately I been to one dinner and dance.

It is a live band of  four. While the SAME song is being played,

Some are doing ....jive

Some are doing ....rumba

Some are doing ....foxtrot

Some are doing ....rock n roll. 

Some are doing ....the bear hug

I  am not an expect , but I don't mind giving some  FREE advice  to those who wants to organize  future dinner and dance.  The least I can do is let the dancers ENJOY for the night.

PUBLIC OPINION

Tq 4 visiting my blog. I know many visited , but none comment anything. So let me ask you some questions. I hope to get some comments from you.

1)  Why aren't there many people taking up social, ballroom or latin       dances.
2)  Could it be, that the tuition fee of  Rm15 for 2 hrs is expensive? 
3)  Could it be people are shy to learn dancing?
4)  Maybe they want to try out first? Get the feel of it.

I have met some students who said , she cannot dance. She has never danced before. I told her I have met similar students like her before. The thing is you will never know until you try it out. 

She  IS  a talented dancer.  I never show her the steps but when I lead her,  she CAN do it.  There are SO MANY  people who CAN dance but they THOUGHT  , they could not.

I am giving dance lessons for beginners daily from 10am to 10pm. 

The studio is at 55B, Jalan Melaka Raya 23, Taman Melaka Raya, 75000. Melaka.  Its is equiped with 8 pieces of 6'x4' wall mirrors. Dance area is 22'x50'.   You have a choice of using air-con or 7 fans. It has a nice view over looking the sea.
